Peace, Joy & Strength
Nehemiah 8:10 New King James Version
10 Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Freedom
There is something about living your life for God that gives you an inner peace, an inexplicable joy that cannot be matched by anything else. The joy that comes from having the freedom to walk into a house of worship with likeminded believers while praising and worshipping God isn’t like anything else you can do in this world.
Trials
We will always face some kind of trials in this life. Choosing to live your life with God is what gives you the strength, peace and wisdom to persevere during those times. We can’t always choose our circumstances, but we can choose how we respond to those circumstances. Choosing to seek God for strength, peace and joy and also focusing on those things does not mean you are ignoring the reality of your situation, but it does mean that you are choosing how to feel and what to focus on.
What ‘s Bigger?
Whatever you choose to focus on is what will seem bigger in your mind. If you want peace, joy and strength then fix your eyes on Jesus. Seek His ways and trust Him no matter what things look like. For the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Hebrews 12:2, Matthew 6:33, Psalm 34:14
**Lord thank You for reminding me that I have control over my own feelings and how I view my circumstances. Help me to keep my mind and my spirit focused on You because you are where my help comes from. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
