His Ways

His Ways

Isaiah 55:8-9 New King James Version

8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways,

And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Don’t Do It Yourself

How often do we beg and plead with God to do something for us and then lay out exactly how we want Him to do it? We fail to realize, if we knew how to fix it, we could do it on our own and wouldn’t even need to consult with God about the situation.

Sometimes we do try to take matters into our own hands and wind up making a bigger mess than we started with. The more we mess it up the longer it takes God to untangle what we have done.

Trust God

Trusting God is believing in God. If we know He is real and truly believe He is who He says He is, if we believe His whole Word to be true, then we have to trust that how He handles our “stuff” is exactly the way it should go.

God sees the bigger picture. He sees and hears all the things we can’t and knows the thoughts, feelings and circumstances of every single person involved. When we are praying for Him to move in a particular thing we have to remember that He works everything for the good of all those involved, not just us.

His Way Is Better

His thoughts and ways are much higher than ours and something we probably can’t even comprehend.

Ask God for what you want, there is nothing wrong with that, but keep yourself open to His will and His ways. Don’t solidify your expectations and put God in a box. He wants to do more for us than we could ever dream.

Romans 8:28, Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalm 37:3-8

**Lord, thank You for reminding me to not put You in a small box of my expectations. I am excited to see the things You have in store for us! I want Your will in our lives, Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
