Is It Heavy?

Is It Heavy?

Hebrews 12:1-2

12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Is It Heavy?

Life can get heavy. We can easily get caught up in the day-to-day things and before we realize it, we have been consumed by our day and left no room for Jesus. We get bogged down in our errands, our to-do lists. Make mistakes that we wish we hadn’t and carry the weight of them instead of giving it all to Him.

Don’t spend time beating yourself up over those things. If we were to be completely honest we are all like that most days. Making time for Jesus should always be our top priority, but we have to start somewhere and it’s usually finding that starting point that proves difficult. He knows we aren’t perfect.

Look To Him

All we have to do is look to Him, spend a few moments in prayer and ask Him what to do and where to start. He knows all the things you have to do, and He can arrange your schedule for you if you will let Him.

Oh and those mistakes you make, take those to Him also. We are a work in progress. If  we confess our sins He is faithful and Just. He will forgive you, and if you ask Him to, He will help you to do better next time.

Fix your eyes on Jesus today. He won’t leave you. He doesn’t think you’re too far gone to love or help. Just talk to Him a little while and see what y’all come up with.

1 John 1:9, Deuteronomy 31:6-8, Isaiah 40:31

**Lord thank You for loving me even when I feel like a mess. Thank You for forgiving me when I make mistakes and for helping me to learn from them so I can do better next time. Please show me where I can make changes in my life to spend more time with You Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
