Nothing But The Blood
Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Already Prepared
God created us to do good works. They are not things that we can be boastful of, but a path already prepared for us to walk., if we so choose
Grace is what saves us.
The Whole Package
I believe a lot of times we focus on the grace and leave off the good works that we were made to walk in. We think that because we have grace the things we do don’t matter but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
The Blood of Jesus
Doing good things won’t get us to heaven if we have not been covered by the blood of Jesus. While it is freely offered to us, we have to make the necessary moves to apply it.
Once that blood is applied we have a responsibility to live a righteous lifestyle . Not because it will make God love us but because those are the good works we are called to do.
God does not love us because of what we do. He loves us because that’s who He is.
Psalm 37:3-7, James 2:14-26
**Lord thank You for Your saving grace. Please, help me to remember when I get caught up in trying to do so many good things that Your Grace is what saves me. Not all the good things I try to do. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
