Is It What You Think It Is?
Ephesians 4:32 New King James Version
32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Just Imagine
Could you imagine what this world would be like if we actually followed scripture, all of us? I always wonder why someone would be so against living by God’s word when the purpose of it is so we can all be kind and loving to each other and do only the things that would yield a good outcome for everyone.
Truth Is
But the sad truth is that we don’t. For whatever reason, or excuse we give, we just can not make ourselves do it. Forgiveness is no exception. I’ve noticed so much lately that in the “Christian world” we yell forgiveness and even say, in the haughtiest way possible “I forgive them” , while in the depths of our heart we don’t forgive them.
Forgiveness
Forgiveness isn’t just words or a feeling it is actions. You can’t talk bad about what someone did to you over and over again and call it forgiveness. You also can’t taint someone else’s image of that person because of what they did to you.
This scripture says we are to be kind and tenderhearted to one another. Is our forgiveness sincerely wrapped in kindness and tenderheartedness? If it’s not, then can we even call it forgiveness?
Matthew 6:14-15, Colossians 3:13, Mark 11:25
**Lord, please help me in this area. I want the way I think, feel and act to be pleasing to you and to lead others to want to know You more. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
