It’s Not You

He’s Always on Time
It always amazes me at how on time God is. He always shows up even when we don’t realize how much we need Him.
Yesterday I was made aware that someone refused to come to a particular class because I was the one teaching. Usually, this type of thing doesn’t bother me because, truthfully, that is between them and God. However, knowing who that person was, it did bother me, and I let myself think about it all evening and into the morning.
Bible Study
As I was doing my Bible study this morning God led me to continue reading in John chapter 13. It didn’t make any sense to me because my morning studies were nowhere near John, but He knows best so I got to reading.
To be truthful as I read this scripture it did stick out to me, enough so I wrote it down. I quickly moved on and back to the chapter I had been studying. It wasn’t until I began to think about my situation again did that scripture pop in my mind and I realized God was talking to me.
Now I know that was a lot to share, but my reason for sharing was because I know sometimes, we don’t recognize the subtle things like this God does for us. He was sparing my mind and my heart. He was reminding me that it wasn’t me they were rejecting, it was Him.
You Are Called
God has called each of us to go tell the whole world about Him. We are called and equipped to spread His word wherever He has placed us. There will always be people who don’t want to hear it, but if you are truly where He wants you to be and sharing the gospel to help save souls then it’s not you they don’t like, it’s Him. That thought is actually still pretty sad and disturbing, but less of a distraction to the work you have been called to do.
Mark 6:4-6
**Lord, thank You for using me to tell others about You. I pray that I can reach millions of people and their lives are changed by Your words. Help me to remember when they reject me it’s You that is in me they are turning away from. Let that knowledge prompt me to pray for their souls instead of focusing on my own personal feelings. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
