Joshua 24:15 New King James Version
15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Do You Believe
Do you believe in God? If you truly believe in God, then you have to believe what His word says. And if you believe in what His word says then you will live your life according to His word.
The problem we see a lot in the world today is there are an awful lot of people who say they are a Christian. They say they love God, but the fruit of their life does not reflect what they are saying.
Luke Warm
If you just do some of what God’s word says because those parts are nice, happy and make you feel good but steer clear of the “hard” parts, the parts that seem to step on your toes a little bit, that means you are what the Bible calls “luke warm”.
Revelation 3:15-16 New King James Version
15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
What’s The Difference?
We cannot be “luke warm” when it comes to God. It’s either all in or all out. Think about your job. You make a commitment and get up early every day to go to work. You do what you have been hired to do so that you will have a paycheck to secure what you need at the end of the week. If you only did part of what you were supposed to do eventually you would not be getting that check at the end of the week.
Our relationship with God is somewhat similar. We commit ourselves to Him and His ways each day we walk out that relationship by praying and reading His word and doing what it says. We have each been called to tell others about His word and called to live a life that allows His love and kindness to shine through us. Our reward? Not only do we have the promises in His word, but we get to spend eternity in Heaven with Him instead of in burning misery forever.
Why is it so easy for us to stick to the job part, but not the living for God part?

Matthew 6:24 New King James Version
You Cannot Serve God and Riches
24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Choose who you will serve today. Your eternity depends on it.
**Lord, thank You for Your mercy and grace. Thank You for never leaving me where I am and loving me no matter what. I pray and ask for a deep-rooted determination to stay in right fellowship with you all the days of my life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
