This Won’t Last Forever
Psalm 34:17
17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.
It Rains Everywhere
As I read that scripture this morning, I got to thinking about people close to me that are really going through some hard times right now. I’ve been there myself, and I’m sure I’ll be there again at some point. That’s just life. It rains on the just and the unjust. We just have to deal with it, but as I read that scripture it kind of stirred something inside of me.
Something that I say quite a bit is that nothing lasts forever, and I don’t mean that in a negative way. I mean that in a positive, encouraging way. We go through these trials, and I believe one of the hardest parts of it is thinking when this is going to end, or is this ever going to stop, and it feels like it just keeps going and going forever.
Nothing Lasts Forever
Thinking back to when I had my first child, I was terrified. I was scared of all the pain I was going to be in not knowing what was going to happen. Even though women do it a lot, childbirth is quite dangerous, and a lot of things could go wrong for the mother and for the baby. So, I was very scared, and I remember the nurse telling me that it was going to hurt, but it wasn’t going to last forever. I never forgot that statement. It helped me with the birth of my second child and when I began going through a long difficult trail that I didn’t think was ever going to end the Lord brought that statement back to my mind over and over again.
God Did That!!
That is what I want to encourage you with. It’s not going to last forever. Whatever trial you are in and no matter how hard it is and how bad it hurts it will not last forever. God will work it all out for your good in the end. Take this time during your trial to learn whatever the Lord wants to teach you. Allow this thing to strengthen and grow the Fruit within you so when it’s all said and done people can look and say, “we know God did that!”
Trails will come, that’s just a given. We may not get to choose what we go through, but we do get to choose how we go through it.
Joshua 1:9, Matthew 5:45, Romans 8:28
**Lord thank You for reminding me that no matter what trials I may face You will never leave me, and You will deliver me out of it at just the right time. I pray that You Lord are glorified with every trial I have to face and that I handle them in a way that gives you glory and encourages others. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
