You Have the Power
Luke 10:19
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Lightbulb!
As I read that this morning it was like a lightbulb went off in my head. I had been fighting a pretty harsh spiritual battle the past week or two. My mind has been consumed, and it was all a distraction from the enemy.
I know the scriptures. It’s easy to say take every thought captive, but it’s much harder to do it when it feels like the enemy is holding you down, is nose to nose, and you can’t think about anything else.
Stand Up for Yourself!
This scripture though. I know it, I’ve read it, and I’ve written about it, but this morning it was like I came to a realization that God has put me in charge of everything the enemy will try to throw at me. Don’t get me wrong God is ultimately in charge of everything, but it’s like He says “hey, all I have is yours now stand up for yourself!”.
He gave us power. Power over all the power of the enemy. This is something we need to let sink deep down into our hearts, minds and spirit. This is something we need to say out loud every single day because he needs to be reminded that we have power over him. Not the other way around.
Time To Go!
If you are fighting today and it seems like the devil won’t let up, stand firm. Square your shoulders and tell him that your God has given you power over him, and he’s got to go in the name of Jesus!!
Take back your life. Take back your mind! And do what God has created you to do!

**Lord thank You for reminding me that You have given me power over the enemy. Let me not forget during intense times of warfare that I have the power to throw him back and stand up tall. I want my heart and my mind to stay focused on you Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
