Wisdom & Understanding
James 1:5 New King James Version
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
1 Kings 3:9 New King James Version
9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”
Emotions
I’ll be totally honest. When it came time to read my bible and pray this morning I was begging for God’s help. I was angry, hurt and other emotions that I can’t even put a finger on, but I know they were there. All I could do was ask God to help me. I didn’t want to feel that way.
Have you ever been like that?
As I held my Bible, I asked God what I needed because I didn’t even know how to pray or where to start because there were so many different areas this particular thing affected. Then, as He always does, God showed up and answered my prayer in a way only He can.
Wisdom
Wisdom. I began reading a passage about wisdom and was reminded of when Solomon prayed to have wisdom in dealing with people (his was more about leading them, but…) And that was it exactly!! That is what is needed as a whole. Wisdom!
We can have discernment and see exactly what’s coming but if we do not actively seek the Godly wisdom needed then we are not going to make it through.
Then I saw James 1:5- 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
My Prayer
That’s my prayer this morning. That God gives me the wisdom and understanding needed in dealing with people so I can handle it His way. I can pray for others to have the same thing as well. We must pray for wisdom, desire wisdom, seek wisdom and grow in it.
**Lord, thank You for always giving me what I need exactly when I need it. I know that You see and know all and I am asking that You give others the same discernment and wisdom You have given me. Help me to always see things through Your eyes. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.**
